Men spraying deodoranton while around girl?

I have noticed my crush applies spray deodorant on while he's standing next to me? He like lifts up his top and stuff and I end getting a big whiff of it, it smells reall nice tho. I was wandering why does he do this, he's not sweaty or anything (were just hanging around) thanks
