Presented dissertation thesis deals with tailored laser-welded blanks of lower beam components in automotive. Through characteristic values, the deep-drawing behavior of two different steel types with various mechanical and structural properties was evaluated. Laser-welded blanks were subjected to metallographic analysis, microhardness measurements, mechanical testing and evaluation of deep-drawing tests. Possible causes of failure formation were not expressively determined by related tests. In case of numerical simulations, the material thickness ratios as well as weld seam positions were modified. Based on the comparison of results obtained from these numerical simulations and current production conditions, a more favorable distribution of plastic deformation and thinning of material, respectively, can be achieved.
