Is it creepy to get emotional over this?

I went to a dance production yesterday, and for some reason when i saw the little kids running around having fun i almost began to cry... and not just once, SEVERAL times... I held it in because it was have been creepy for the people next to me to just see this big man start crying over kids... but i just kept thinking about my childhood and how i resented being refused the opportunity to socialize with other children, and how when i get kids i plan to let them join clubs and have a good time... is this some what odd?
